The Study of Sherlock Holmes
The Study of Sherlock Holmes is an animated web series based on the original Sherlock Holmes books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
We are currently in pre-production of the pilot: Scarlet Threads. Inspired by the plot of “A Study in Scarlet,” the first book to feature the beloved consulting detective Sherlock Holmes and his companion and friend, Doctor Watson.
The pilot will be animated in Blender using a combination of 2D, 3D, and practical elements for a 2.5D collage style inspired by the works of Terry Gilliam, George Dunning, and Lotte Reiniger. Illustrative influences like Hergé, Tove Jansson, Chomet, and Robert Valley also play a significant role in the development of the art style.
